Prisha Charity Foundation has launched the Hope Beyond Walls Project, a campaign dedicated to building a safe, supportive and nurturing home for vulnerable children in Uganda.

The project responds to the difficult circumstances faced by children who grow up in prison environments, children born to mothers in prison, and children experiencing stigma, discrimination and exclusion within their communities.

For many of these children, circumstances beyond their control can significantly affect their childhood, education, emotional wellbeing and future opportunities. Prisha Charity Foundation believes that every child deserves a safe place to grow, learn, heal and dream.

Building a Home Beyond the Prison Walls

The Hope Beyond Walls Project aims to establish a dedicated home that will provide vulnerable children with a secure family-like environment where they can access essential support and opportunities.

The planned home will seek to provide:

- Safe and stable accommodation
- Education and school support
- Nutritious food and basic needs
- Psychosocial and emotional support
- Healthcare and therapy
- Life-skills and vocational development
- Child protection and safeguarding
- Recreation, talent development and mentorship
- Support to overcome stigma and social exclusion

The Foundation's vision is not simply to provide a roof over a child's head, but to create an environment where children can recover from difficult experiences, develop their abilities and build a brighter future.

A Response to Stigma and Exclusion

Children affected by imprisonment and other vulnerable circumstances can face stigma because of situations they did not create and cannot control.

Prisha Charity Foundation believes that a child's future should not be determined by the circumstances of their birth or their parents' situation.

Through Hope Beyond Walls, the Foundation seeks to create a community where vulnerable children are treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
